CONTENT WITH A PURPOSE
This initiative is a multi-phase antisemitism, anti-hate, and Holocaust video storytelling effort designed to confront the accelerating rise of antisemitism today and preserve Holocaust survivor testimony.
Anchored in urgent, first-person storytelling, the initiative positions Holocaust survivor voices not only as historical record, but as active tools to educate, warn, and counter antisemitism and hate in contemporary society.
While awareness within the Jewish community remains strong, there is a critical gap in understanding and engagement among broader, non-Jewish audiences—particularly students and individuals with little direct exposure to Holocaust and Jewish history. One of the objectives of this initiative is to bridge that gap.
With the window to capture firsthand testimony rapidly closing, and antisemitism rising across schools, communities, and civic life, this work is both timely and necessary.
WHY NOW?
Two urgent forces are converging:
Antisemitism has risen sharply in recent years, intensifying since October 7, 2023, with direct impact on Jewish communities, students, and institutions
The number of Holocaust survivors able to share first-person testimony is rapidly diminishing, making immediate documentation essential
ADL’s 2025 Audit recorded 6,274 antisemitic incidents across the United States — an average of 17 a day. That is five times the number recorded a decade ago. Physical assaults reached a record high.
Nearly 70% of all religion-based hate crimes reported to the FBI target Jews. Jews make up only 2% of the U.S. population.
More than half of American Jews say they have changed how they live because of antisemitism.
Globally, Tel Aviv University reports that antisemitic incidents across Western countries remain significantly above pre–October 7 levels.
These trends point not to a temporary spike, but to a sustained and increasingly normalized environment of antisemitism. Our project responds to both realities—preserving memory while activating it, with a clear focus on antisemitism education, awareness, and prevention.
STORYTELLING LEADS TO HOPE
This project has two parts.
Part One focuses on short-form storytelling, while Part Two expands that work and includes a feature-length documentary. This allows us to reach people where they are across generations, settings, and platforms.
Our goal is to support existing educational efforts, and to extend them – bringing Holocaust testimony and antisemitism education to audiences who might not otherwise encounter or engage with this history.

Glenn Fishkin is the Executive Producer and Director. He is currently the Principal of Full Scale Productions. His career spans three decades covering local and network television as well as corporate webcasting and documentary film making.
Jenny Kaiser is the Producer. She is currently the Principal of Eleven Eleven Studios. Her career encompasses corporate media, local news, and documentary film making.
Ready to HOPE?
The Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte is serving as fiscal agent for the initiative, allowing donors to make tax-deductible contributions through its 501(c)(3) structure. Funds designated for this project will be restricted exclusively for this initiative. The Federation and the Stan Greenspon Holocaust Education Center provide guidance, subject-matter expertise, community access, and strategic alignment. Initial philanthropic support has already been secured, allowing production to begin and demonstrating early momentum.
